Mr. Youssouf Omar Doualeh joined Diplomatic Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti in 1982, immediately he became the Head of the Department of Documentation thereafter assigned as counsellor in Paris, France from 1987 to 1992.
Then took responsibility in Yemen as First Counsellor from 1992 to 1997. Mr. Youssouf Omar Doualeh served remarkable period from 1997 to 2005 as the Ambassador of Djibouti in Yemen.
In 12 years’ service in Yemen he boosted the ties between Djibouti and Yemen. Mr. Youssouf Omar Doualeh played very effective role in Yemen which has boosted the Economic, Political and Trade. Bilateral relations between the Djibouti-Yemen became more alive.
Mr. Youssouf Omar Doualeh’s hard work was highly appreciated and at last he became the Dean of Diplomatic Corps in Yemen. The President His Excellency Mr. Ali Abdullah Saleh of Yemen in 2005 decorated him with the Medal of Unity, and before that in 2001 the President of Djibouti decorated him with the Medal of Commander and appreciated the right way that the Embassy Functions, as the head of state mentioned in the visitors book of the mission.
